Jaccob Slavin is back for Carolina.
The Hurricanes defenceman has been activated from injured reserve after recovering from an upper-body injury, the team announced on Saturday.
Slavin said he's good to go, and head coach Rob Brind'Amour said the plan is for Slavin to play Saturday night when the Hurricanes host the Seattle Kraken.
The 31-year-old has played in just five games this season, missing 39 with injury. In 80 regular-season games last season, Slavin had six goals and 21 assists.
The two-time Lady Byng Memorial Trophy winner has played 750 games for the Hurricanes, and is the franchise leader for points by a defenceman with 299 (55 goals, 244 assists).
Slavin was named to the U.S Olympic hockey squad last week. It will be his first Olympic Games if he is able to play.
The Hurricanes (27-14-3) are first in the Metropolitan Division, and are looking to extend their win streak to four against the Kraken.
